Why Provo, Utah might be annoying:

    Mormons!
It made The Osmonds household names.
It was ranked as the most conservative city in the United States by the Bay Area Center for Voting Research.
Oddly enough, it also has the highest drug trafficking rate in the state of Utah.
Glenn Beck often performs at their Independence Day festival.

Why Provo, Utah might not be annoying:

It is home to one of the largest private universities in the country.
Despite its conservative reputation, they elected Democratic congressman Bill Orton to three terms in the 90's.
Its hockey arena was used for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
They hold arguably the largest Independence Day celebration in the country here every year.
It is a great place to raise a family and live an overall good quality of life (if you don't mind the Mormons).
