Why Cape Town, South Africa might be annoying:

Early traders thought that the area was settled by dwarves and vicious man-eating birds.
The area was called the 'Cape of Storms' because of its turbulent seas and winds.
Many anti-apartheid activists, including Nelson Mandela, were imprisoned on Robben Island.
The views from Table Mountain are sometimes obscured by the 'Table Cloth' cloud cover.
The city's gay beach is located near the family beach (don't get them confused).
The city's only multi-racial district was bulldozed to make more room for white residents. After all the original homes were destroyed and the residents were forcibly relocated, nothing was built there (1966).
The vigilante terrorist group PAGAD was formed here (1996).
Like many cities in South Africa, the population is economically and racially segregated.

Why Cape Town, South Africa might not be annoying:

It is South Africa's most popular tourist destination, offering extensive outdoor activities and numerous museums and shopping centers.
It is world-renowned for its beaches, cosmopolitan atmosphere, historic Dutch houses, and lively cultural scene.
Large populations of whales, seals, and penguins can be found along the coast.
The country's wine growing regions are located near the city.
The world's first successful heart transplant was performed here (1967).
Robben Island was proclaimed a UN World Heritage site.
It is often compared to San Francisco because of its diversity, artist community, open attitudes, and island prison.
