Why they might be annoying:

'Dirty Water' was their only song to make the Top 40 (1966).
Despite the 'Dirty Water' line 'Boston, you're my home,' they were actually Angelinos.
Their single 'Try It' was banned from many radio stations for being too suggestive.
They released a song under the less-than-inspired pseudonym 'Sllednats.'

Why they might not be annoying:

Dodd was a former Mouseketeer while Tamblyn is brother of actor Russ Tamblyn and uncle of Amber Tamblyn.
'Dirty Water' was adopted as a victory anthem by the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox.
They reunited to perform 'Dirty Water' at game two of the 2004 World Series.
