    Their record label, Eighteenth Street Lounge, is named after the chichi D.C. club owned by Eric Hilton.
    Although their sound is down tempo, the lyrics are political and anti-Bush.

    The duo's album got a sales boost when fan Zach Braff included their song 'Lebanese Blonde' on the 'Garden State' soundtrack (1998).
    They have collaborated with David Byrne and Perry Farrell.
    In September 2005, the group took part in 'Operation Ceasefire,' a concert aimed at stopping the Iraqi War.
