Her marriage to Delon was kept secret until the couple had left France for their honeymoon.
During the filming of ‘Bluebeard,’ she conducted an affair with star Richard Burton (who once received a 5 AM phone call from wife Elizabeth Taylor demanding, ‘Get that woman out of my bed!’).

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father abandoned the family when she was eight months old.
She originally had no interest in acting, but ’Le Samourai’ director Jean-Pierre Melville saw her walking down the stairs and said, 'You have a movie physique. If your husband agrees, I would like for you to star in this movie.'
Despite their divorce, she remained on friendly terms with Delon.
