The Resume

    (October 14, 1741-June 8, 1764)
    Born in Champenay, France
Court dwarf for King Stanislaus Leszynski of Poland
Maximum height was 2 feet 10 inches

Why he might be annoying:

Despite attempts by several court-appointed teachers, he never learned to read, to write or to add numbers.
    He was spoiled rotten.
When denied anything, he would throw tantrums in which he would scream, kick and break vases and dishes.
He would run under the petticoats of the ladies at court. (Allegedly encouraged by the King, who would ask for a detailed report of what he had seen.)
When he spied a princess petting a lapdog, he threw the animal out a window, crying ‘Why do love that dog more than me?’
When a shorter dwarf, 2’6 Joseph Borulawski, stayed at court for a few months and threatened to displace Ferry as the king’s favorite, Ferry tried to throw his rival into a blazing fire.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was taken away from his parents when he was five and never saw them again.
    He was an immaculate dresser.
He rode in a miniature carriage pulled by four goats.
Although the King normally ignored his misbehavior, he drew a line at Ferry’s attempted murder of Borulawski and ordered him soundly whipped.
He began aging rapidly after his 16th birthday and died of old age in his early 20s.
