Why he might be annoying:

He argued that art should not represent anything.
Almost all of his works lack titles.
He farmed out the actual creation of the boxes (or other objects) to artisans and industrial manufacturers.
He hated being called a minimalist. He also did not like called a sculptor.
He said he liked bagpipe music because it was the only music that did not remind him of conversations.
There is an online quiz, ‘Donald Judd or Cheap Furniture?’

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in an army construction unit during the Korean War.
Before catching on as an artist, he was a successful critic.
He kept his furniture design separate from his art, commenting, ‘If a chair is not functional, if it appears to be only art, it is ridiculous.’
He was named one of the most influential artists of the 20th century by ARTNews.
