Why he might be annoying
Like his dad and older brother, he did the 'Foligno Leap' upon scoring his first NHL goal.
Despite being born in Buffalo, and being drafted by the Sabres, he angered the American fanbase by electing to play for Canada at the 2011 World Juniors when the city was hosting the tournament.
He lives in the shadows of both his dad and brother.
He spent a good portion of his NHL career on the bottom six forward lines.
He is the only member of his family not to be drafted in the first round of the NHL Draft.
Why he might not be annoying
He broke the family tradition and didn't wear the numbers #17 and #71, instead wanting to carve his own numerical identity.
He lost his mother to cancer when he was 18.
When asked about his decision to play for Canada in IIHF competition, he stated that unlike his brother, he developed his game in Canada.
He is the second member of his family to play for the Sabres.
