Wide receiver for the Frankfurt Galaxy (1992), Las Vegas Posse (1994), Shreveport Pirates (1995) and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1996-99)

Why he might be annoying:

He shares his name with the soul singer.
He was considered undersized to play in the NFL, which contributed in his release from the Broncos.
He spent the majority of his CFL career on lackluster teams.
His playing career ended after he took a signing bonus from the Roughriders, but intended to play the 2001 season in the XFL.
His decision to take the Riders money and run led to him eventually being blackballed by the CFL altogether.

Why he might not be annoying:

He excelled at the punt and kick return position, as well as the wideout position.
He was one of the few bright spots on a Posse team that earned CFL notoriety for its cockamamie operations.
He surpassed Hal Patterson's CFL record for most receptions recorded in a single game.
He was a member of the Riders team that made a surprise appearance in the Grey Cup game (1997).
He was lucky enough not to endure references to the singer and his song catalog during his playing career.
