His name is easily confused with Sean Michaels and wrestler Shawn Michaels.
During Round 3 of the PGA, he struck a fan on the 13th hole.
He choked during the final round of the 2002 BC Open, blowing a chance to secure his tour card.
The first thing he said after winning the PGA was 'I hope they spell my name right.'

Like Ben Curtis, he came from relative obscurity to win a major championship.
He hit a shot to within 2 inches on the final hole on one of the world's hardest courses to win.
He saved an elderly couple in 1993 when their car went over an embankment.
He won the 1994 Sons of Confederate Veterans Bravery Award.
