    He attempted to deal with the energy crisis by having industries work a three-day week.
    He never forgave Margaret Thatcher for challenging him as leader of the Conservatives and would refer to her as 'That woman.'
    Similarly, he refused to ever speak with Enoch Powell after Powell failed to inform the Conservative Party of his plans to deliver his controversial 'Rivers of Blood' speech on immigration.
    According to the Daily Mail, he never paid many of the ghost writers who worked on his autobiography.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He accused Neville Chamberlain of 'turning all four cheeks' to Hitler.
    While Prime Minister, he captained Britain's winning team in the Admiral's Cup yacht race (1971).
    He was trageted by IRA assassins, who threw a bomb on to the first-floor balcony of his home.
