TV Personality

The Resume

    (April 7, 1955- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Birth name is Gregory Walter Jarrett
News anchor on the Fox News Channel
Formerly affiliated with MSNBC and Court TV
Took a leave of absence from Fox News in May, 2014
Returned to Fox News Channel, after a 6-month hiatus, in early December, 2014

Why he might be annoying:

He is a Sean Hannity lookalike.
By proxy, that also makes him a Nathan Lane lookalike.
Bloggers repeatedly claimed to have caught him drunk during live Fox News segments.
He allegedly called and tried to pressure the blog to remove the videos.
He carried on a heated, drawn out war of words with Don Lemon over the Geoffrey Dunne verdict, with Lemon calling him an 'old man' and Jarrett calling him a 'pretentious, pompous jerk' (Feb. 2014).
He was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of interfering with a peace officer and released after posting $300 bail (May 21, 2014).
Subsequent videos of his arrest showed him violently struggling with airport security in an expletive-filled rant, before being thrown into a hold.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a main anchor for the O.J. Simpson murder trial on location in Los Angeles in 1995.
He was anchoring in New York City on the morning of September 11, 2001 during the World Trade Center attacks.
Anyone who can piss off Don Lemon must be doing something right.
He captured the Emmy award-winning 'underpass tornado' footage which is regularly featured on TV storm specials.
He reported live from the Ben Yehuda Street bombing in Jerusalem when 2 suicide bombers and a car bomb killed 13 and injured 188 others (Dec. 1, 2001).
He was successfully treated for alcoholism and an addiction to Gabapentin pills.
Mediaite classlessly mocked his alcoholism and mug-shot photo after his publicized arrest, comparing it to Larry King's mug shot (yeah, a dick move...)
He teared up in an emotional 'thank you' to Roger Ailes - crediting him with not only saving his career by not firing him, but also saving his life by helping him overcome his alcoholism.
