    Four-time World Series champion (1975-78)
    Pitching coach for the Cincinnati Reds (1993-2005)
    Inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame (2002)

    Willie Mays hit his final home run against him (1973).
    He was part of two World Series losing teams in the early stages of his major league career.
    His playing career in the majors was cut short due to an injured cuff and shoulder problems.
    He was fired as the pitching coach by the Reds along with manager Dave Miley (June 21, 2005).
