His invention lead to wireless/cellular phones that have caused a lot of people to become reckless drivers and also create disturbances to theater-goers and restaurant diners throughout the world.

He beat Elisha Gray to the patent office by two hours.
He invented many hearing devices for the hard of hearing.
His invention is the greatest advancement in communication, being both a companion to the lonely and a lifeline for emergency services.
