Baseball Player
    (April 8, 1983- )
    Born in Providence, Rhode Island
Catcher for the Colorado Rockies (2006-2011) and Los Angeles Angels
Despite being considered the Rockies franchise catcher, he was a backup for three seasons.
    He frequently strikes out.
His surname is extremely hard to spell.
He was relegated to backup duties as a result of his inconsistency at the plate.
He was overhyped coming out of college.
He majored in mathematics at the University of North Carolina.
He was a member of Team USA at the World Baseball Classic (2009).
He made the most of his second chance at being the team's everyday starter.
During his collegiate years, he earned All-American honors twice.
Rather then be rushed into the lineup prematurely, the Rockies slowly allowed him to develop into an everyday player in the minors.
