TV Series
    (April 1, 1977-April 22, 1977)
CBS TV series featuring a pair of Nashville, Tennessee detectives, Claude Akins (badge #99) and Jerry Reed
Ran in the Spring of 1977
Known for its horrible theme song and frequent appearances by Country Western singers
It was a complete bomb; only three episodes (of four produced) were aired.
It's theme song, sung by the talented Reed, was literally agonizingly painful to listen to.
    It was very violent.
A couple of the episodes, including the one about a police man moonlighting as a hit man, were very far fetched.
Every episode worked in country music stars such as Tammy Wynette, Johhny Paycheck, and Mel Tillis playing themselves in appearances that had nothing to do with the plot.
Claude Akins' character still lived with his mother.
It premiered on April Fool's Day.
It portrayed Southerners in a positive light as normal intelligent people and not as ignorant inbred hicks like Hollywood still usually does.
Charley Pride was a semi-regular playing a character named RB.
Lucille Benson was her usual awesome self playing Akins' character's mother.
The cast and acting were actually quite good.
