Why NCIS might be annoying
The organization of NCIS on the show has no connection to the real life organization of NCIS.
The entire NCIS goes years at a time without being involved in a shooting, but on the show, the agents are involved in shootings almost weekly.
Many of the cases investigated on the show would be handled by other agencies, such as the FBI or local police in real life, and NCIS agents do not go on spy missions.
Why NCIS might not be annoying
The cast is outstanding!
Even though most of the criminals on the show are military (as are the victims), overall, the U.S. military is shown in a positive light.
It's popular among actual members of the U.S. military.
The Navy and Marine Corps let the show use actual military equipment, personnel and bases.
