Why he might be annoying:

    He is a member of Nigerian royalty.
    He was signed by Island Records as a successor to Bob Marley.
    He did not have the same level of commercial success, with his biggest album, 'Juju Music,' peaking at #111 on the Billboard chart (1982).
    When he was inducted into the Afropop Hall of Fame, he dedicated his award to the late Michael Jackson (2009).

Why he might not be annoying:

    The New York Times credited 'Juju Music' with launching 'the World Beat movement in the United States.'
    He was the first musician to incorporate pedal steel guitars and synthesizers into juju music.
    He established the King Sunny Ade Foundation, which operates a performing arts center, a state of the art studio and housing for young musicians.
