The Resume

    (March 27, 1863-April 22, 1933)
Born in Alwalton, England, United Kingdom
Birth name was Frederick Henry Royce
    Co-founder of Rolls-Royce (1906)
    Named Baronet Seaton (1930)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was an obsessive perfectionist.
He suffered a breakdown from overwork (1912).
Afterwords, he never visited the Rolls-Royce factory but ran the company by mail from his villas in Sussex and southern France.
A false legend claims that the Rolls-Royce emblem was changed from red to black to commemorate his death.
Actually, Royce ordered the change shortly before his death because he felt the red emblem clashed with the paint jobs on some cars. (Told you he was an obsessive perfectionist.)

Why he might not be annoying:

He began designing cars when imports failed to live up to his standards.
He designed the prototype of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine that powered most of the RAF fighters during the Battle of Britain.
The night before he died, he sketched plans for the first adjustable shock absorber.
His motto was 'Whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble.'
