Why he might be annoying:

He looks like Kurt Russell.
He missed the Islanders Stanley Cup dynasty as he joined the team the following season.
He was best known for painting a hockey helmet and wearing a blue bandanna under his helmet.
His nickname with the Kings was 'Hollywood.'
His productivity declined considerably after he guided the Kings to the Stanley Cup Finals.
He served as the third string goaltender in the 1987 Canada Cup tournament, which resulted in him being a healthy scratch throughout the tournament.
He was demoted to the minors for one game at the age of 35.
He spent the later part of his career on poor Kings teams.
