He's been on many different record labels that he was dropped from.
One of the reasons he became successful in the United States was because of Dave Matthews' promotional attempts.
It took him until college to realize that he should be writing songs and focus on making music that's pleasant to hear.

He is influenced by different kinds of artists including The Sex Pistols, David Bowie and Bob Dylan.
He opened up for Radiohead and Dave Matthews, and became really good road pals with Dave Matthews.
Before he became a singer/songwriter, he was in a few different punk rock bands.
In Ireland, he was able to play huge arenas with more than 8000 people and hardly any radio play or advertising.
His albums have been certified platinum and he has had number one hits around the world.
He is inspired by his wife for the lyrics on a lot of his positive songs.
Many agree that he's a nice person with a deep and soulful voice.
