    It is the smallest of the three cities in the Kitchener-Waterloo region.
    It has been the subject of amalgamation talks with both Kitchener and Cambridge for years, which never come to fruition.
    The land where it sits on was given to the Iroquois people as a gift, who would later turn around and resell it.
    It has a lot of urban sprawl.
    It has extremely humid summers and cold winters.

Why Waterloo, Ontario might not be annoying:

    It is home to Wilfrid Laurier University.
    Due to its location on the Grand River, it has a lot of picturesque scenery.
    It was founded by Mennonite Settlers, looking to make a new start in Canada.
    It is home to the Research in Motion headquarters, best known for Jim Balsillie and the BlackBerry device.
