The Resume

    (April 22, 1971-September 30, 2011)
Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico
Held dual American and Yemeni citizenship
    Muslim iman
Wrote '44 Ways to Support Jihad' and 'Allah Is Preparing Us For Victory'
    al-Qaeda recruiter
Promoted to 'regional commander' in al-Qaeda (2009)
First US citizen added to a list of persons approved for targeted killing by the CIA (April, 2010)
Killed by an unmanned drone in Yemen

Why he might be annoying:

He claimed to be a native-born Yemeni to fraudulently receive $20,000 in college scholarships for foreign-born students.
    He married his cousin.
He left his first mosque as iman after being chastised by an elder for encouraging students to fight jihad.
At his second mosque in San Diego, he was arrested for soliciting prostitutes.
After 9/11, he said, 'There is no way that the people who did this could be Muslim, and if they claim to be Muslim, then they have perverted their religion.'
However, he was the 'spiritual advisor' to three of the 9/11 hijackers, suggesting his condemnation of the attacks was a hypocritical statement for public consumption. (Or, perhaps, that he was a really shitty spiritual advisor.)
He also had repeated contacts with Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan and underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmtallab and called them 'my students.'
After 'Everybody Draw Muhammad Day,' he issued a fatwa calling for the death of nine cartoonists.
His 'sermons' are full of comments like 'I pray that Allah destroys America and all its allies' and 'The ballot has failed us, but the bullet has not.'
He had a blog, a Facebook page, and tons of YouTube videos, leading him to be dubbed 'the bin Laden of the internet.'

Why he might not be annoying:

Philp Mudd, the FBI's top intelligence advisor, said, 'He's a magnetic character. He's a powerful orator.'
He was successful enough at faking being a moderate post-9/11 that he was invited to a luncheon with the Secretary of the Army and led a prayer service at the US Capitol for Muslim staffers.
He encouraged physical fitness (albeit so Muslims would be 'ready for the battlefield').
The drone attack that nailed him also took out an al-Qaeda bombmaker.
