Why The Practice might be annoying
It was a show about lawyers!
It had what sounds like laser guns being fired in it's opening theme.
It showed lawyers at their best, getting guilty people cleared of murder, rape, assault, etc...
More than half of the cast was let go for its 8th and final season due to budget cuts.
However, producers somehow found the money to have James Spader, William Shatner, Rhona Mitra, and Lake Bell, as regular guest stars, all of whom starred on ABC's new series, 'Boston Legal,' which premiered the very next season.
This is evidence that ABC used the show's last season as nothing more than a lead in for the series, 'Boston Legal.'
Why The Practice might not be annoying
It was nominated for 41 Emmy's over its eight year run.
It had regular series crossovers with David E. Kelly's other Boston shows, 'Boston Public,' and 'Ally McBeal.'
Its first season had some episodes filmed in sequence with the show, 'Ally McBeal,' where both law firms would be on the same case.
If you watched both shows, you were able to see both sides of the case.
It showed that the prosecuting attorney's can be just as dirty and unethical as defense attorney's.
The sixth season's finale had two endings filmed so that it would be a true cliffhanger, as even the cast did not know which ending was going to air.
Camryn Manheim allowed writers to have angry clients and opposing attorney's call her character names like, 'Tubby,' 'Jumbo,' and 'Fatty,' on occasion.
