Why Jonny Quest might be annoying:

    Jonny is easily misspelled as 'Johnny.'
    Jonny resembles Race more than his alleged father.
    Despite good ratings, the show was cancelled for repeatedly going over budget.
    When it was run as a Saturday morning program in the late 60s and early 70s, it was criticized by parnetal watchdog groups as too violent.

Why Jonny Quest might not be annoying:

    Hadji was one of the first non-white characters on TV presented as an equal participant.
    In a reversal of the usual kid/adult dynamics, Jonny and Hadji occasionally rescued Dr. Quest and/or Race.
    'The Incredibles' featured a one-eyed robot inspired by the one in the episode 'The Robot Spy.'
    The Cartoon Network series 'The Venture Brothers' was inspired by 'Jonny Quest.'
