He was nicknamed 'Baghdad Bob' by Fox News.
CNN compared him to the 'Wizard of Oz' who told the people to ignore the man behind the curtain.
When the U.S. forces captured Saddam Hussein airport, he said it was not true and merely a Hollywood movie.
He claimed that Iraqi troops were butchering and slaughtering coalition troops, as the Iraqi troops were in total disarray.
He said the Americans and British were stupid and cowards.
He was captured at a relative's home (June 24, 2003).

Despite all his rhetoric he added comic relief to a serious situation.
He remained optimistic and true to his party line despite reality.
He is bi-lingual.
