The Resume

    (March 23, 1988- )
Born in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic
Drafted 34th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft
Goaltender for the Washington Capitals (2009-2014) and the Buffalo Sabres

Why he might be annoying:

His surname is hard to pronounce among American hockey pundits.
He is extremely inconsistent as a starting goaltender.
He publicly told the Washington media he felt teammate Braden Holtby was 'his weakest competition' in an interview.
He was part of a rotating string of goaltenders that started for the Caps during the Stanley Cup playoffs in a four year period.
He, along with teammate Roman Hamrlik, publicly stated the NHL lockout was about the superstars with inflated contracts instead of the players themselves.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had an outstanding minor league career, guiding the Capitals farm affiliate in Hershey to a Calder Cup title (2009).
He holds the American Hockey League record for lowest Goals against average in a single playoff run (1.92 in 2009).
After guiding Hershey to consecutive Calder Cup titles, he was appointed the Capitals starting goaltender for the 2010-11 season.
He moved to Canada at age 16 in order to improve his draft stock in the North American major junior ranks.
