Why Youngstown, Ohio might be annoying:

    It was a center of KKK activity in the 1920s due to backlash against immigrants working in its steel mills.
    In the 1950s and 60s it became known as ‘Murdertown, USA’ and ‘Bomb City, USA’ thanks to a mob war that featured car bombs as the weapon of choice.
    It is a Rust Belt city that still has not recovered from the collapse of the American steel industry in the 1970s.
    Its population has declined by 60% from its 1960 peak.
    CNNMoney reported that it had the lowest median income of any US city with a population greater than 65,000 (2007).

Why Youngstown, Ohio might not be annoying:

    It was the birthplace of Good Humor ice cream (1920).
    ‘Entrepreneur’ magazine named it one of the 10 best cities to start a business in (2009).
    Forbes.com ranked it as the 4th best US city to raise a family in (2010).
    Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about the rise and fall of the city and its steel industry.
