She started an affair with the much older and married Earl Carroll.
One Christmas, Earl gifted her with a mink toilet seat.

She was known as a great beauty.
Her face is featured on a twenty-foot-high portrait at Universal CityWalk.
Just months before the fateful airplane disaster, Earl added a codicil to his will that he and Beryl should be buried together.
His wish was granted.
