    Created Postum coffee substitute and Grape-Nuts and Post Toasties cereals
    Founded the Postum Cereal Company (1895), which evolved into General Foods

Why he might be annoying:

    He was a former patient at Dr. John Kellogg's sanitarium, prompting accusations that he stole his products from Kellogg.
    He originally called Post Toasties 'Elijah's Manna,' but changed the name following complaints of blasphemy.
    He tried to found a utopian community in Texas.
    To counter drought in the region, he set off large quantities of explosives in an attempt to 'dynamite' rain from the skies.
    He committed suicide during a bout of depression.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His products were a lot tastier than the equivalent being served at Kellogg's sanitarium.
    He went from near bankruptcy to a $5 million fortune in just five years.
    He was a pioneer in several marketing techniques, including coupons, free samples, and product endorsements by experts.
