Why he might be annoying:

He looks like Jared the Subway guy.
Because he was elected in a special election, he never served a full six year senate term.
He voted with George W. Bush 94% of the time, but wouldn't say whether or not he thought he was doing a good job as president.
Many Missourians felt that ‘Meet the Press' host Tim Russert won the debate Talent had with Claire McCaskill on ‘Meet the Press.'
He lost the 2006 senate race to Claire McCaskill. This was one of the races that lost his party's control over senate.

Why he might not be annoying:

He served four terms on the Missouri House of Representatives, and two as the Republican's party leader.
He co-sponsored The Combat Meth Act, which limited purchases of medicines that are used to make meth, and made many of meth's ingredients harder to obtain.
He earned his J.D. at the University of Chicago.
