The Resume

    (August 31, 1974- )
    Born in Spain
Real name is Alicia Esteve Head
Claimed to have survived the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center
Said that she worked for Merrill-Lynch in the South Tower and lost her fiance, David, in the attacks
Former president of the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network
Revealed as a fraud by an expose in the New York Times (September 27, 2007)
Subject of the book 'The Woman Who Wasn't There' and the documentary 'Tania Head: The 9/11 Faker'

Why she might be annoying:

She claimed to be a graduate of Harvard and Stanford University. Neither has any record of her.
Merrill-Lynch had no record she ever worked for them.
In fact, she was in business school in Barcelona on 9/11.
She forced an actual 9/11 survivor to listen to a tape where she graphically recounted what she (allegedly) went through.
When the survivor protested, she replied, 'You're scared? I'm the one who went through hell!'
David was a real 9/11 victim, but his family had never heard of her.
Friends from Spain said she had a history of inventing stories even before the hoax.

Why she might not be annoying:

She is clearly a mentally disturbed person.
Her father and brother were involved in a financial scandal.
To be fair, she never made any money off her hoax.
She volunteered as a tour guide at Ground Zero.
She raised money for the World Trade Center Survivors' Network.
