He opened 'Sundae School Training' (1951).
He introduced Cookie Puss, Fudgie the Whale, Dumpy the Pumpkin, Wicky Witch, Cookie O'Puss, Cookie Chick, Hug Me the Bear, Tom Turkey and other ice cream cakes (it turned out many used the same mold).
According to Forbes Magazine, Carvel made every possible mistake one could make in estate planning.

He introduced all kosher ice cream products (1969).
He invented Lo-Yo frozen yogurt and thinny-thin desserts (1972).
He sold controlling interest in the company (1989).
