Why she might be annoying:

She slept her way to the top.
By most accounts, her acting ability was pretty crummy.
She claimed to despise rich people, yet she owned over 100 furs, closets full of Christian Dior gowns and a cache of expensive jewels.
She used her power to ruin people who had been mean to her in her youth.
She admired Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
She never said ‘don’t cry for me, Argentina.’ However, she did once utter the cryptic statement: 'There are some oligarchs that make me want to bite them just as one crunches into a carrot or a radish.'
After her death, Juan Perón displayed her mummified corpse on his dining room table.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was charismatic.
She fought to improve the lives of her country's poor and destitute.
Millions of admirers consider her a saint.
When her husband was arrested by political opponents, she successfully rallied the nation to gain his freedom.
Argentina went into deep mourning when she succumbed to uterine cancer.
