Why they might be annoying:

Their personnel constantly changed, with a different line-up on each studio album.
They broke up and re-formed multiple times, with their reunions unofficially dubbed 'Refried Burritos.'
They dropped the 'Flying' from their name in the early 80s.
By 1985, there were both a Burrito Brothers in the studio and a Flying Burrito Brothers on the road with different members. (The two bands fused in 1989.)
Chris Ethridge unexpectedly quit days before a reunion tour (1994).

Why they might not be annoying:

They were an influence on country rock in the 70s, country 'New Traditionalists' in the 80s, and alt-country in the 90s.
After a decade of critical acclaim but no sales, they scored several country hits in the early 80s and received an award as 'Best Crossover Group' from Billboard.
Band members spearheaded a campaign to get honky-tonker Lefty Frizzell inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
After their stints in the band, Bernie Leadon became a founding member of the Eagles and Rick Roberts formed Firefall.
