    Linkous committed suicide at age 47

Why they might be annoying:

    The 'band' was pretty much Linkous and whoever he invited into the studio or on tour.
    While working as a roadie for Cracker, he got the group banned from a Hoboken club by dumping chests of ice onto the audience.
    While touring, Linkous' heart stopped after he overdosed on a combination of anti-depressants, Valium, alcohol and heroin (1996).
    Linkous described his approach to one album as 'I've been trying to write really simple songs to make them sound like they're coming out of a satellite that's crashing into a gas giant or something.'
