Why Harare, Zimbabwe might be annoying:

    It was built on sloping ground.
    Its name is similar to a city in Ethiopia, Harar.
    It began to suffer major economic difficulties in the early 21st century.
    A newspaper called it a 'sunshine city-turned-sewage farm' (May 2006).
    It was hit hard by a cholera outbreak (2008).
    It has been considered one of the world's least liveable cities according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.
    It has ten sister cities.

Why Harare, Zimbabwe might not be annoying:

    Founded in 1956, the University of Zimbabwe is Zimbabwe's oldest university.
    It hosts the Zimbabwe International Film Festival and the Harare International Festival of the Arts since the late 1990s.
    Mukuvisi Woodlands contains a variety of African wildlife animals and flora.
    Trees such as the Msasa, jacaranda and the flamboyant were grown around the city.
    The Chapungu Sculpture Park contains numerous stone carvings by Zimbabwe's finest sculptors.
    The National Heroes Acre is a monument dedicated to liberation war fighters for the country's independence.
    A Lemba artifact ngoma lungundu in which is 700 years old is displayed in the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences.
    A successful demonstration took place here that forced Robert Mugabe to step down as the President of Zimbabwe (November 21, 2017).
