Why The Big C might be annoying
The series was originally named 'The C Word,' but producers and writers changed the name due to its similarty with another Showtime program, the 'L Word.'
Its slogan in its first season was 'Grab life by the balls.'
The premise of having a cancer-stricken teacher looks like they ripped a page from the series 'Breaking Bad.'
Cathy's husband Paul is often obnoxious and immature.
Cathy often engages in promiscuous and impulsive behavior.
The series was promoted as a comedy despite having very serious storylines.
Some people criticized the show for making a joke out of cancer and patients stricken by the disease.
Why The Big C might not be annoying
The show features two Oscar nominated actresses.
Oscar winner Bill Condon directed the pilot episode.
It had one of the highest series premieres for Showtime.
At least Cathy does not engage in life-threatening actions like Walter White's character does on 'Breaking Bad.'
