Astronomical Object

The Resume

Fifth planet from the star Sol
Largest planet in the Solar System
Fourth brightest object in the Earth sky (occasionally upstaged by Mars)
Known as either the 'wandering star' or the 'failed star'
First visited by Pioneer 10 (1973)
Orbited for eight years by the spacecraft Galileo
Mostly composed of increasingly dense gas
    318 times larger than Earth
Named after the Roman king of the Gods

Why Jupiter might be annoying:

It is well-known as the fat ass of the Solar System.
Its almost entirely composed of hydrogen and helium with some methane, water vapor and ammonia.
It has rings like Saturn, but they aren't nearly as visible.
In fact, scientists were surprised to have discovered the rings and are baffled over how they exist.
Its surface has never (and probably will never) be seen because of its thick, boiling hot clouds.
The Great Red Spot, located on its surface, is a storm twice the size of Earth that has persisted for almost 400 years.
It is the noisiest planet in the Solar System because of the powerful radio waves produced by disturbances in its magnetic field.
When Galileo discovered celestial motion of Jupiter's four largest moons, disproving that everything rotated around Earth, it eventually lead to his imprisonment by the Inquisition.
    It rhymes with stupider.

Why Jupiter might not be annoying:

It spins faster than any other planet in the Solar System (one day = 9.8 Earth hours).
Its symbol is a thunderbolt, derived from the weapon the Roman god Jupiter frequently used.
It plays a key role in Stanley Kubrick's '2001: A Space Odyssey.'
It contains about 71% of the planetary matter in the Solar System.
Its four main moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto) are called the Galilean moons in honor of Galileo Galilei.
It receives the most frequent comet impacts of all the planets in the Solar System.
As of February 2004, it has 63 known satellites, more than any other planet.
Ganymede is larger than both Mercury and Pluto.
Io is the most volcanic object in the Solar System with over 100 active volcanoes.
Europa contains large amounts of ice above a liquid ocean.
Its moons are named after the many lovers of Jupiter, the Roman God.
