Why they might be annoying:

They got their name after the DC Comics character.
They underwent numerous lineup changes throughout their history.
Despite being a Canadian band, they received little airplay in Eastern Canada, in contrast to the massive airplay they received in Western Canada.
They split after the release of their fourth album 'Harlequin' after they couldn't agree on the direction of the band.
They took a hiatus from performing for 19 years from 1986 to 2007.

Why they might not be annoying:

They were discovered by Jack Douglas, who happened to come across the band in Toronto while coming to see another band, but couldn't get into the show.
George Belanger kept the band active while he worked a regular job, prior to the release of 'Waking the Jester.'
They are extremely popular in Canada.
They wrote most of their own songs.
