The Resume

    (October 13, 1949- )
    Born in Darby, Pennsylvania
    Guitarist and singer
    Member of Fleetwood Mac (1987-91)
Recorded the solo albums ‘King of Hearts’ (1992), ‘Pink & Black’ (1998), ‘Bandbox Boogie’ (2003), ‘Talk That Talk' (2006), and ‘Soulshaker’ (2019)

Why he might be annoying:

When he played with Little Richard on ‘The Midnight Special’ (1974), he had to wear a stage outfit consisting of a skintight one-piece lavender jumpsuit with an open collar and a large gold medallion. For a bonus, during the show, Richard brought him front and center to solo on a song they had not rehearsed. (‘I was pretty completely humiliated.’)
His slide guitar solo on Bob Seger’s ‘Like a Rock’ has been overexposed thanks to that song’s ubiquity as a Chevy commercial.
He adopted the persona ‘King Paris’ to perform world music.
Asked about his hobbies, he replied, ‘I mow the lawn regularly.’

Why he might not be annoying:

He played with John Mayall, Jackson Browne, and Bonnie Raitt, who said, ‘His guitar playing just slays me. His style is as cool and sharp as a ’59 Cadillac tailfin.’
Peter Green from the original Fleetwood Mac lineup was one of his guitar heroes and he got to bring some of Green’s songs back into the regular set list when he toured with Fleetwood Mac.
He received the W.C. Handy Award for Blues Song of the Year for ‘It’s Two A.M.’ (2001)
He said, ‘I haven’t tried to be a part of any trend. I’ve always just tried to play with feeling.’
