Why he might be annoying
He learned choreography in the army, during World War I.
His choreography in 'The Wizard of Oz' was cut out of the movie.
He retired after having a nervous breakdown.
Most of his dance routines were huge synchronized production numbers.
Why he might not be annoying
His productions brought happiness to people during the Great Depression.
He used to rip out parts of the set to get the exact camera angle that would make his production look it's best.
He still inspires directors with his generous use of space as well as his experiments in camera movement.
He was goofed on in Mel Brook's 'Blazing Saddles'
