Forward for the Boston Bruins (1947-49), Detroit Red Wings (1949-50), Chicago Black Hawks (1950-52) and the New York Rangers (1952-53)

Why he might be annoying:

His longest stint with an NHL team was three years.
He never returned to the NHL following his stint with the Rangers.
He was traded to Chicago months after he scored the Stanley Cup clinching goal for the Wings (1950).
Despite his feat, he remained in hockey obscurity in the years following his accomplishment.
His sudden death goal was overshadowed by that of Bill Barilko's a year later.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was one of the first American born NHL players.
He was the first player in the history of the Stanley Cup Finals to score a sudden death overtime goal in the seventh and deciding game (1950).
He was ok with the fact he never received the attention or accolades regarding his feat.
He was considered an offensive scorer during his early days within the NHL.
