He missed a good portion of his only season at UNLV due to injuries.

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up in a crime ridden neighborhood in Toronto, prior to moving to Brampton at the age of 10.
He is the first Canadian born player in NBA history to be taken with the first overall pick.
His draft billing and status as the first Canadian to be drafted first overall took a lot of pressure off Andrew Wiggins, who was widely expected to hold the distinction in 2014.
His draft selection was a surprise by many basketball pundits, who felt he would initially be a late first round pick.
