Why he might be annoying:

He may have not existed.
He was sometimes referred to as 'Shet,' but you'd probably get slapped today if you openly called him that.
He was only born to replace Abel, who had just been killed.
His murderous brother is much more famous than him.
He married his younger sister, which probably made for an awkward honeymoon.
Many ancient groups believed that direct descendants of him were superior to regular humans.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was described as the 'perfect man.'
He was probably the quieter member of the family.
He lived his entire life knowing he was simply Abel's replacement.
He had to endure the pain of growing up without any friends outside his family.
He had a good relationship with his parents despite the fact that they'd damned all of humanity.
Noah was his direct descendant.
