Why she might be annoying
There is ongoing debate that Martha Tabram, murdered August 8, 1888, was the true first victim.
Her 16-year marriage to William Nichols, a printer's machinist, ended due her constant desertion of the family.
Completely estranged from her family, she became a fall-down drunk and prostitute.
After she left her last legit job as a domestic in June 1888, she stole clothes from her employers.
Having spent money for lodging on drink, she stated she'll have the four pence she needed soon due to the 'jolly bonnet I’m wearing.'
Staggering dead drunk into the night at 2:30 a.m. for one last trick she was never seen alive again.
Why she might not be annoying
She was savagely murdered - her throat was cut from ear to ear and she was disemboweled.
Dim-witted coroner workers washed her body down before the autopsy, destroying evidence.
Her murderer was never identified or prosecuted.
Her estranged father, eldest son and ex-husband chipped in to pay for her funeral expenses.
Her grave was marked with a plaque in 1996 by cemetery officials.
