Despite posting an impressive regular season, he flamed out in both his starts in the ALDS against the Texas Rangers (2010).

He was a standout pitcher in high school, and played in the High School All-America Game (2004).
He was initially drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of high school, but wisely declined in order to attend college.
He is the first rookie pitcher in baseball history to record a post-season victory prior to a regular season one.
He is the youngest pitcher in MLB history to start an All-Star Game (2010).
