The Resume

    (December 10, 1815-November 27, 1852)
Born in Picadilly, London, England , United Kingdom
Birth name was Augusta Ada Byron
    Daughter of Lord Byron
Translated an Italian monograph about Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine
Added a set of notes about how to calculate Bernoulli numbers with the Engine, which many historians consider the first computer program

Why she might be annoying:

She was named after Byron's half-sister, Augusta Leigh, with whom he had an incestuous affair.
Some historians have suggested that the programming notes Lovelace published had actually been written by Babbage himself.
She proposed writing a report on the effects of opium and wine based on her personal experiences.
She bet extensively on horses and owed 2,000 pounds in gambling debts when she died.

Why she might not be annoying:

When she was one month old, her mother left Byron and he was never allowed to see her again.
She was bled to death by her physicians, dying at the same age as her father.
She is considered the first computer programmer.
The Defense Department named one of its programming languages Ada in her honor.
