    He has called 'vile' any comparison between civil rights and gay rights.
    He voted against including sexual orientation in hate propaganda laws.
    Some centrist Progressive Conservative MP's quit the new party when he was elected leader.
    Many Canadians feel he is too pro-American.
    He said that Alberta needed a 'fire wall,' which made many view him as being for Alberta separating.
    He supports more cooperation between the Canadian and American military, which includes the controversial missile shield.
    He has yet to make clear his position on public healthcare, many Liberals and New Democrats suspect he would cut funding to the healthcare system and have more privatization.
    He shares his name with a porn star.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He managed to unite the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservatives.
    He promises to clean up the federal government if elected.
    He is popular in Western Canada.
    He claims his Conservative government would lower taxes.
    He would give more money to the Canadian Military.
    He is the youngest leader of a major party.
    He wants to reform Canada's outdated senate system.
