Music Producer
    (February 22, 1927-circa March 3, 2008)
Born in North London, United Kingdom
Engineered all Beatles albums up to 1965's 'Rubber Soul'
Promoted to music producer in 1965
Produced Pink Floyd's first three studio albums - 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn,' 'A Saucerful of Secrets' and 'Ummagumma'
Recorded the songs 'Don't Let It Die' and 'Oh Babe What Would You Say?'
Published his memoirs in 2007 titled 'John Lennon Called Me Normal'
Though involved with two of the greatest rock groups of all time, he's virtually unknown outside the industry.
He didn't adopt the Hurricane nickname until he started singing, well into his forties.
He was a U.S. one hit wonder.
He felt the need to re-record his 70s songs for a 2004 album release - 'From Me To You.'
He was a glider pilot for the Royal Air Force.
He became friends with all four Beatles and lauched the career of Roger Waters and other Pink Floyd members.
He produced one of rock's first concept albums, Pretty Things' 'S.F. Sorrow,' a precursor to Pete Townshend's 'Tommy.'
'Oh Babe What Would You Say?' was a hit in both the U.S. and U.K., hitting #1 with Cash Box magazine (February 1973).
